This is my Story, So Far...

I have been around square dancing my whole life. I learned to walk at a state square dance festival in fact.

At the age of 3 the club caller, Wayne Thompson, gave me the singing call "Never The Less" on Rhythm Records. Wayne had told me if I learned it he would let me perform the song at the club's camp-out weekend. So, I did just that and became a "One Record Caller" for a while. Ever since then I have been studying and learning the art of Square Dance Calling.

At age 6 I called my song for the first time at a Montana State Square Dance Festival. The MC insisted on giving me the cue sheet but, at that time, I couldn't yet read so, I had to decline.

In 2003, at age 12, I started calling and teaching for my first club in Plains, MT, which was a 90-mile trip one way from where I lived in Kalispell. The club formed and became The Montana Mavericks a year later, where I am still club caller.

Within the United States, I have called dances in Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Lousiana, and Texas. Outside the United States, I have called in Japan, Canada, and  Scotland. I have had the pleasure to be featured caller for many weekend festivals, state festivals, square dance cruises, and events.

I call and teach Basic thru A2 Squares, Cue phase II-IV rounds, a CALLERLAB member, and BMI/ASCAP Licensed.

In 2013, I had the distinct honor of becoming one of the newest staff members of the Rhythm Records square dance label. Rhythm is one of the top square dance labels in the world with an ALL-STAR staff of the top callers in the world. Check out Rhythm Records to find out about all the awesome music that is Rhythm!

My wife, Samantha, and I were married in May of 2015 in Spokane, WA. With a big celebration of family and friends, we started the journey together that is life. We currently reside in Spokane, WA where I regularly call.

We have three wonderful children; Avi, Adorabella, and Erowynn whom you'll see frequently out at dances.

If I am in your area, don't miss a chance to dance in a fun and lively hall filled with an evening of great music, flowing & interesting choreography, and smooth singing. I would love to meet you and always love seeing friends on the dance floor. You can even get one of my CD's to listen to at home, in the car, or where ever your travels take you.

I enjoy each and every one of the dances I call, the callers I work with, and the dancers I have the pleasure of meeting. There are no better people than square dancers!
